Ballina/Killaloe
is a tourist town located on Loughderg, one of the lakes on
the Shannon. It is a central location in Ireland and is easily
accessed locally by rail and bus. It is 110 miles from Dublin,
15 miles from Limerick, 55 miles from Galway and 75 miles
from Cork. There are numerous restaurants, sources of accommodation,
and various outdoor activities to facilitate and interest
course participants including: Angling, Horse riding, Boating, Sailing, Water sports, Hill walking, Traditional music, Entertainment, Swimming pool, Outdoor pool, Tennis court and Pitch and putt.

From Limerick Direction
Take the M7 toward Dublin. Continue forward and Exit at Junction 27, you will come to a roundabout, take the first exit. Continue straight until the next roundabout and take the 2nd exit onto the R494 (signposted Ballina, Killaloe). Follow R494 road into the village of Ballina, you will come onto small roundabout at McKeoghs supermarket, drive straight through and pass Vivo Petrol station and O’Donovans pub, then take 2nd right after O’Donovans into Palm Grove Drive, Atek is 1st of five similar buildings on left.
From Dublin Direction
Take the M7 to Limerick. Exit at Junction 27 signposted, Killaloe/Ballina/Birdhill. You will come to a roundabout, take the first exit and continue straight at the next roundabout. You will then come to a third roundabout, take the second exit onto the R494 (signposted Ballina, Killaloe). Follow R494 road into the village of Ballina, you will come onto small roundabout at McKeoghs supermarket, drive straight through and pass Vivo Petrol station and O’Donovans pub, then take 2nd right after O’Donovans into Palm Grove Drive, Atek is 1st of five similar buildings on left.
Directions from Cork
Take the M20 toward Limerick. Follow the road all the way to Limerick until you come toward the end of the M20 follow signs for the M7 to Dublin. From Shannon Airport
Follow signs for Galway, Limerick (N18) R472, at roundabout take 3rd exit N19, at next roundabout take 3rd exit to join N18 (signposted Limerick). Stay on the Dual carriageway and you will see bunratty castle on your left. At junction 4 continue forward onto the N18 -Toll (signposted Limerick East - Toll). Continue on the N18 Toll Plaza and enter Limerick Tunnel. Continue forward onto the M7 Motorway (signposted Dublin). Exit at Junction 27 signposted, Killaloe/Ballina/Birdhill. Take the first exit and continue straight until you come to another roundabout, take the second exit onto the R494 (signposted Ballina, Killaloe). From Galway
Follow signs for N18 to Gort, continue forward on the N18. Just before Gort, enter the Motorway M18 (signposted Limerick). Continue forward onto the N18 -Toll (signposted Limerick East - Toll). Continue on the N18 Toll Plaza and enter Limerick Tunnel. Continue forward onto the M7 Motorway (signposted Dublin). Exit at Junction 27 signposted, Killaloe/Ballina/Birdhill. Take the first exit and continue straight until you come to another roundabout, take the second exit onto the R494 (signposted Ballina, Killaloe). Go into the timetable search link and look for suitable schedules from your Location to either:
1. Ballina (North Tipperary) - Route 323
2. Killaloe - Route 345 (there is more frequent buses on this route and it drops you off on the Killaloe side of the Lake.)
3. Birdhill - Route 12 (This route has the most frequent buses as it is on the Limerick Dublin route, Birdhill is approximately 4 miles away from Ballina/Killaloe.
