Certified IPC Specialist Recertification |
The
IPC-A-610E standard is the most widely recognised and accepted
standard ever published by the IPC for the PCB assembly industry.
This course is designed to help electronic manufacturers achieve
the highest quality, productivity, and cost-effective production
by ensuring that personnel can correctly apply the acceptability
criteria of the IPC-A-610E "Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies" whilst performing visual inspection of PCB's.
How
the Recertification Program Works:
Candidates must pass open-book and closed-book assessments. Successful
candidates are awarded Certified IPC Specialist Certification
valid for a further two years. Certified IPC Specialists may
be recertified by two means:

Module 7: Surface mount assemblies (including jumper wires) |

Challenge Test
Candidates are allowed to take a challenge test, which simply means taking the open and closed book assessments without prior course instruction from the Certified IPC Trainer or Master IPC Trainer. Candidates who successfully achieve the required score from the assessments are deemed to be recertified. |
