Certified IPC Specialist Recertification |
The
J-STD-001 "Requirements for Soldered Electrical and
Electronic Assemblies" modular programme defines materials,
methods and verification criteria for producing high quality
soldered interconnections. The standard emphasises process
control and sets industry-consensus requirements for a broad
range of electronic products.
Course
Objective:
The Course is designed to provide a review of the process
control requirements and end product quality criteria of the
Standard. The training program uses soldering labs and demonstrations
as well as classroom instruction to teach the standard criteria.
Participants must pass open book assessments with a score
of 70% or better on each module and produce acceptable workmanship
samples.
Course
Modules:
This course will re-certify participants to applicable J-STD
modules. Participants
will review important aspects of each applicable module they
were originally certified in.

Evaluation:
The practical and theoretical examination of the candidate
is carried out in accordance with the modules selected. Upon
satisfactory course completion, participants will be awarded
the Certified IPC Specialist Certification, which is valid
for 2 years. This training and certification has immediate
recognition and value throughout the electronics industry.
